Teacher
Mrs. Taylor attended Ozark High School in Ozark, AR, graduating in 1997. After high school, she attended Arkansas Tech University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an Instrumental Emphasis. In 2016, upon completing ESL Academy, she added the English as a Second Language to her teaching certificate.
Mrs. Taylor began teaching at Green Forest Schools in August 2013 as the assistant band director and then went on to become Director of Bands, teaching band, music theory, and guitar. Currently Mrs. Taylor serves as the 8th grade Computer Science/Robotics teacher.
Mrs. Taylor began teaching in August 2005 at Mansfield Public Schools. After leaving Mansfield, she taught clarinet to more than 100 clarinet students with Northside, Kimmons, and Darby through Fort Smith Public Schools. During this time, her students earned more than 100 spots in All-Region Bands, 20 spots in All-State Bands, and earned scholarships to attend University of Arkansas Fort Smith, Arkansas Tech University, University of Central Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas.
Mrs. Taylor is married to Jon Taylor, EAST facilitator. They have two children, Emma, a preschool student and Edward. In addition to their children they have two fur babies, Rosie and Benny.
When Mrs. Taylor is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, scrapbooking, and playing games. In addition to be a teacher, Mrs. Taylor also owns her own small business where she makes custom tumblers and other crafts.
