Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI)

As per Arkansas Code Annotated § 6-10-127 a district may apply for up to 10 days of AMI for the use of alternative methods of
instruction, including [remote] learning, on days when the district is closed due to exceptional or emergency circumstances such 
as:

• contagious disease outbreak
• inclement weather
• other acts of God
• utility outage

Green Forest Schools has received approval by the Arkansas State Board of Education to offer AMI Days as needed.  The approved application for this current school year is accessible as a link below (District Approved Application).

Students in Elementary and Intermediate (Grades K-5) have been given a paper packet of work to complete for AMI Days 1-10.  

Students in Middle School and High School (Grades 6-12) will be using their chromebooks to complete assignments through Google Classroom.
